Tee Time with the Pro Noun

Live Every Week!

Perry Noun has been talking GOLF on the radio since May of 1999. He had no experience or formal education in broadcasting when he decided to walk into the offices of WZZZ, a small 500 watt radio station in Fulton, New York to talk with the owner and tell him he had an idea for a talk show. When the owner asked Perry,

“How much experience do you have in radio?”

Perry said he didn’t have any but he has been listening to several popular shows in the country including; Don Imus, Rush Limbaugh, Tony Kornheiser and Dr. Laura Schlessinger, and he believed he could do it. The owner hired him, and the rest is history.

Perry’s next stop was with Clear Channel in Syracuse NY where he was hired to do his show on WHEN 620AM Sports. After two short stints with ESPN and Fox Sports, Perry went to iHeart Radio, who had just acquired Clear Channel and negotiated for an hour on their “Flagship Station”, News Radio 570 WSYR. Perry’s expectations have always been to provide golf content that was informative and entertaining by offering commentary from local golf organizations, local and national golf professionals, authors, writers, and high profile celebrities who play golf.

Perry has often said,

“There are two types of golfers; those that play golf and those that have established a special relationship with the game. When will you know which type you are? When you play with family, when you play better, when you have more fun, when you feel better and when you live longer than you expected…you’ll know."
